Please Note: You must always supply the EIRCODE for any property being registered or when you are requesting a duplicate receipt. If you have already registered, you do not need to re-register. The requirement to re-register every five years has been removed from the legislation and your existing certificate remains valid.

Existing Customer:

If you have previously created an account for Protect Our Water you don’t need to create a new account.

If you do not have your login details please go to the login page and click on the "Lost Account Ref." or "Lost Password" button.

New Customer:

To create an account and register your domestic wastewater treatment system you will need your:

  1. Property address and Eircode
  2. Payment details

The registration fee is €50.

About Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems Registration

The Water Services Act 2017  requires water services authorities to maintain a register of domestic waste water treatment systems in their functional areas.

Under the Act, owners of domestic waste water treatment systems are required to ensure that their systems are on the register. Your registration will contribute to the protection of Ireland's ground and surface waters.
